First in Tokyo: Mitaka City to Distribute Cooling Device 'Hin'yari Seate Pad' to Public Elementary Schools

Seiban Co., Ltd. Following Tatsuno City in Hyogo Prefecture and Yaizu City in Shizuoka Prefecture, this will be the third municipal implementation nationwide and the first within Tokyo. Distribution to 15 public elementary schools in Mitaka City, serving approximately 9,200 students, is scheduled to begin around mid-July.

Features

A back pad with a lightweight cooling agent, specifically developed for use with randoseru (school backpacks).

The part contacting the back uses COOLMAX® fabric, a moisture-wicking and quick-drying material. The cooling agent is wrapped in aluminum and vinyl to prevent cold air from escaping, reducing melting and preventing frostbite and condensation through specialized design.

Even after the cooling agent melts, the moisture-wicking fabric helps prevent back sweat, ensuring comfort during the commute home.
