"2026 WBC" Samurai Japan Top Team Full Documentary Film "Beyond the Battle: Record of the Samurai" Set for Limited Theatrical Release Starting Friday, August 14, 2026!

The documentary film "Beyond the Battle: Record of the Samurai 2026 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSICTM", produced with the cooperation of J SPORTS Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President: So Tosaki, hereinafter referred to as "J SPORTS")*1, will be released in theaters nationwide for a limited time starting Friday, August 14, 2026, following its distribution on Netflix. The film will be shown at 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku in Tokyo and other theaters across the country. The distributors of this film are J SPORTS and Asmik Ace, Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Atsushi Ariyoshi, hereinafter referred to as "Asmik Ace").

This film is a complete documentary that follows the Samurai Japan Top Team, which participated in the "2026 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSICTM" held in March 2026 and finished the tournament in the quarterfinals. It captures their journey as they faced the immense pressure of expectations for a "second consecutive world championship." Through invaluable footage captured exclusively by the official Samurai Japan camera crew, the film delves into the untold stories behind the scenes.

The narration is provided by Kazunari Ninomiya, and the theme song is the newly written song "Hatenaki Yoru wo" by Kōshi Inaba.

Advance tickets (Muviticket) will go on sale starting Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM via Muviticket Online and convenience stores. A special website will also be launched on the official Samurai Japan website, where theater information, including screening venues, will be updated regularly.
