[Nara Hotel] July 7th is Tanabata: Experience Japanese Traditional Events with Special Tanabata Strips Themed 'Record and Future' to Decorate the West Wing Renewal

Nara Hotel (1096 Takahata-cho, Nara City, General Manager Ryuta Harada) is displaying a Tanabata decoration in the main building's first floor until July 7, 2026 (Tue). Guests are invited to write their wishes on strips of paper and hang them on bamboo branches, providing an opportunity to experience the changing seasons and traditional Japanese events.

This year, as part of the promotion "'Register' - Record the Present, Connect to the Future" celebrating the West Wing's renewal on September 2 (Wed), special Tanabata strips themed 'Record and Future' have been prepared, contrasting photos of the restaurant and guest rooms from the new building era with renderings of the renewed spaces. This visual juxtaposition of past and future aims to further heighten anticipation for the September renewal.

The bamboo branches used were harvested from the hotel grounds, demonstrating environmental consideration in line with SDG Target 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Please enjoy the atmosphere of Tanabata, a traditional Japanese event, while gazing at the gracefully swaying bamboo and decorative strips.

In 2024, to commemorate the hotel's 115th anniversary, Nara Hotel restored its sole remaining guest register. This register, signaling the beginning of a story, can be seen as a symbol of "recording time and connecting to the future." In line with the guest register as a messenger to the future, promotions will be held throughout the renewal period and after the reopening, under the theme "'Register' - Record the Present, Connect to the Future."
