CAC Establishes 'CAIO (Chief AI Officer)' to Lead AI-Driven Business Transformation

CAC Corporation announced that it will establish the position of 'CAIO (Chief AI Officer)' on June 1, 2026, to accelerate its ongoing business transformation centered on AI, and that Masayuki Imai (Sales Director, Market Strategy Division) will be appointed to the role. Purpose of establishing CAIO: The rapid evolution of AI technology, including generative AI, is significantly changing the environment surrounding companies and society, and the business of system integrators (SIers) is also facing a major turning point. CAC views this change as an opportunity for business innovation and is promoting 'AI Transformation,' an initiative to transform customer businesses and its own operations using AI. Role of CAIO: As a company-wide function reporting directly to the President, the CAIO will oversee the planning and promotion of AI strategy at CAC. The main roles include: formulation and promotion of AI strategy and roadmaps based on management strategy; coordination and prioritization of AI initiatives in each business division; consolidation of knowledge necessary for AI utilization, talent development, and strengthening of technical support systems; and development of governance including AI ethics, risk management, and usage policies.
