Senior Job Openings Allowing Side Jobs Tend to Concentrate in Specialized Field Roles Like Nursing Care and Cooking

Senior Job Co., Ltd., a company supporting career changes for seniors, conducted a survey on job postings that allow side jobs on their senior-specialized job site 'Senior Job'. The results revealed that the top professions with many such openings include caregiving (13.6%), cooking (11.5%), and childcare (9.9%), which are specialized, on-site, interpersonal roles. Regionally, the openings are concentrated in the Kanto area (54.5%) and Tokyo (23%). Unlike remote-work openings which have a high ratio of full-time positions, side-job-allowed openings are predominantly part-time jobs, accounting for 74.9%. This suggests a severe labor shortage in these on-site fields.
