Koshida Co., Ltd. and South Korea's Edge AI Semiconductor Manufacturer DEEPX Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement

Koshida Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryozo Koshida; hereinafter "Koshida") announces that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with DEEPX Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Seongnam, South Korea; CEO: Lok Won Kim; hereinafter "DEEPX"), an edge AI semiconductor manufacturer based in South Korea, effective July 2, 2026.

Background and Purpose

Recently, demand for edge AI—processing data from cameras and sensors in real time directly on devices—is rapidly increasing across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, logistics, construction, and security. Low-latency, low-power inference processing, independent of cloud computing, is gaining attention as a foundational technology for AI deployment in industrial settings, and its adoption is accelerating in the Japanese market. DEEPX is a semiconductor manufacturer developing and producing ultra-low-power AI chips designed for the era of Physical AI. Its flagship product, the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), is manufactured using a 5nm process and achieves an industry-leading power efficiency of 25TOPS at 3–5W. DEEPX holds a global patent portfolio of over 500 patents and has a track record of adoption by international customers. Koshida has leveraged its domestic sales network and market development expertise, centered on semiconductors and automotive sectors, to promote the adoption of DEEPX's NPU products in Japan. With the signing of this MOU, the two companies will deepen their collaboration and significantly accelerate the expansion of edge AI applications in the Japanese market.

Both companies will jointly promote market penetration of DEEPX's NPU products to accelerate the adoption and deployment of edge AI in Japan—a market rich in essential technologies for realizing Physical AI. Koshida will now have priority access to product supply and customer support, enabling it to strategically and swiftly pursue new business opportunities.
