Enbio C-Energy Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Tohshu Yokomizo, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), a subsidiary of our company, announces the commencement of operations at a solar power plant installed on a warehouse rooftop and the initiation of electricity supply (power sales) to Mitsubishi UFJ Bank. This project establishes an offsite PPA scheme, enabling efficient utilization of renewable energy.
In recent years, as the green transition accelerates, installing solar power systems on warehouse rooftops has become a widely adopted renewable energy strategy among corporations. This approach generates renewable energy by leveraging existing infrastructure without requiring new land, minimizing environmental impact while advancing energy transformation—making it a model expected to expand further in the future.
This project advances such initiatives by integrating an offsite PPA (※1) scheme, enabling flexible renewable energy supply beyond geographical constraints of demand locations. It provides a practical solution for companies that face difficulties installing equipment within their own premises.
[Power Plant Overview]
・Location: Narita City, Chiba Prefecture (Logi Square Narita)
・Installation Site: Warehouse rooftop
・Installed Capacity: Approximately 2,127 kW
・Annual Estimated Generation: Approximately 2,280,000 kWh
・Power Purchaser: Mitsubishi UFJ Bank
※As this solar power project involves bilateral transactions, the projected revenue is not disclosed.
Going forward, we will continue to strongly support corporate green transitions through the promotion and expansion of renewable energy. By actively deploying diverse solutions such as offsite PPA, we aim to realize a society where more companies can adopt renewable energy and contribute to a sustainable future.
(※1) About Offsite PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)
A long-term electricity purchase agreement in which renewable energy generated from facilities installed outside the buyer’s premises (offsite) is delivered via utility transmission and distribution grids. As it does not require on-site installation, offsite PPA is gaining popularity as an accessible method for a wide range of companies, regardless of scale or location, to procure renewable energy.
