Next-Generation Onboard Service Cart Beecle to Replace Kei Trucks, Exhibited at Sea Japan 2026

Beecle is a new electric service cart that replaces light trucks. It reuses used electric golf carts and contributes to the health of seafarers and the protection of the natural environment. Unlike previous service carts, it has zero exhaust emissions. It is equipped with recycled lead-acid batteries for power. The maximum speed is limited to 12km/h to prevent accidents onboard. It also has no waste heat during operation, maintaining a comfortable environment onboard with an ecological design. Beecle is an environmental measure that can be started immediately as a step towards a decarbonized society. Beecle is an environmentally friendly and safe "next-generation onboard service cart" created by attaching a cargo bed to an electric cart to solve the problem of gasoline vehicle use onboard. Its ability to move lightly and freely within limited ship spaces is reminiscent of a "worker bee" dancing beautifully among flowers. The name Beecle is a combination of "Bee," "Vehicle," and "Reuse." Beecle prioritizes operator safety. Excessive speed in narrow ship spaces is dangerous. Beecle sets a maximum speed limit to maintain safety onboard. It ensures a wide and clear field of vision from the driver's seat in all directions. The windshield extends fully up and down, and the frame is designed not to obstruct vision. Additionally, optional equipment such as patrol lights and driving BGM further enhances driving safety. Beecle is a "fully reused cart" redeveloped into something valuable by effectively utilizing existing materials and resources without investing new ones. The vehicle body is a used electric golf cart, and the power source uses recycled lead-acid batteries. Since it does not use gasoline, it can also reduce the effort and cost of loading fuel onto ships. Just as no two ships are alike, no two Beecle carts are alike.
