Since July 2025, our bank has been conducting a proof-of-concept experiment for a local LLM jointly with Athena Technologies, Inc. (CEO: Takeru Abe), a startup originating from the Matsuo Lab*. This system's introduction was decided after its effectiveness in advancing and streamlining operations while protecting confidential internal information and customer personal data was confirmed during the experiment.

Our bank will continue to enhance management efficiency by actively utilizing the latest technologies, establish a stable management foundation, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the local community by sharing the knowledge gained through internal use.

*"Matsuo Lab Startups" are a select group of companies founded by alumni of the Matsuo Lab or with its support, recognized for their growth potential in both technology and business, who share the lab's philosophy and collaborate in training the next generation. 1. Background and Features of "JOYO AI AGENT"

In recent years, while generative AI is sought for improving efficiency in banking operations, ensuring the security of data, including confidential and personal information, has become a critical issue.

"JOYO AI AGENT" mitigates the risk of data leakage and achieves high security by building its generative AI system environment on a closed cloud, physically isolated from the external internet. Furthermore, it is designed with scalability for adding functions, as it implements multiple agents specialized for each business use case.

For ease of use, it employs a "prompt-less" user interface where processes are executed simply by uploading a file and clicking a button. This allows bank employees without specialized knowledge of AI to use it smoothly.

2. Implemented Functions (Use Cases)

In this project, along with the construction of the AI agent platform, we have implemented functions in the following two business areas where effectiveness was confirmed during the proof-of-concept. We will continue to expand the use cases available in "JOYO AI AGENT" for various departments, including sales branches.
