Joyo Bank (President Tetsuya Akino) has built a business-specific AI agent (hereinafter referred to as "Local LLM") called "JOYO AI AGENT" that operates in a closed-loop environment completely isolated from the internet, and has begun its in-house use from March 26, 2026, as announced below.
Since July 2025, the bank has been jointly conducting demonstration experiments of Local LLM with Athena Technologies Inc. (Representative Director Takeshi Abe), a startup originating from the Matsuo Lab that develops generative AI solutions*. Based on the confirmation of its effectiveness in enhancing and streamlining operations while protecting internal confidential information and customer personal data, the bank has decided to introduce this system.
Joyo Bank will continue to actively leverage the latest technologies to improve management efficiency and establish a stable management foundation. Furthermore, by returning the knowledge gained through in-house utilization to the region, we will contribute to the sustainable growth of the local community.

1. Background of Introduction and Features of "JOYO AI AGENT"
In recent years, while generative AI has been increasingly demanded for operational efficiency in banking, ensuring the security of data including confidential and personal information has become a significant challenge.
"JOYO AI AGENT" realizes high security by reducing the risk of data leakage by constructing a generative AI system environment on a closed-loop cloud physically separated from the external internet. Furthermore, it is designed with extensibility for adding functions, as it implements multiple agents specialized for each business use case.
In addition, considering usability, a "promptless" user interface has been adopted, where processing can be executed simply by uploading a file and clicking a button. This allows bank employees without specialized knowledge of AI to use it smoothly.
2. Implemented Functions (Use Cases)
In addition to building the AI agent platform, we have implemented functions in the following two business areas where effectiveness was confirmed during the demonstration experiments. Going forward, we will expand the use cases available for "JOYO AI AGENT" in the operations of each department, including branch offices.
