The Joyo Bank (President Tetsuya Akino) has constructed a business-specialized AI agent (hereinafter, local LLM) "JOYO AI AGENT" that operates in a closed environment completely separate from the internet, and began its internal use on March 26, 2026, as announced below.
Since July 2025, our bank has been conducting a demonstration experiment of local LLMs in collaboration with Athena Technologies Inc. (Representative Director Takeshi Abe), a startup born from the Matsuo Laboratory* that develops generative AI solutions. Through this demonstration experiment, the effectiveness of the system in enhancing and streamlining operations while protecting internal confidential information and customer personal information was confirmed, leading to the decision to introduce this system.
Our bank will continue to actively utilize the latest technology to improve management efficiency and establish a stable management base. Furthermore, by returning the knowledge gained through internal use to the community, we will contribute to the sustainable growth of the regional society.

1. Background of Introduction and Features of "JOYO AI AGENT"
In recent years, while generative AI is sought after for improving business efficiency in banking operations, ensuring the safety of data, including confidential information and personal information, has become a critical issue.
"JOYO AI AGENT" achieves high security by constructing a generative AI system environment on a closed cloud physically separated from the external internet, thereby reducing the risk of data leakage. Furthermore, it is designed with scalability for adding functions, as it implements multiple agents specialized for each business use case.
Considering operability, a "prompt-less" (no instruction text required) user interface has been adopted, where processing is executed simply by uploading a file and clicking a button. This allows bank employees without specialized AI knowledge to use it smoothly.
2. Implemented Functions (Use Cases)
In this project, along with the construction of the AI agent platform, functions in the following two business areas, whose effectiveness was confirmed in the demonstration experiment, have been implemented. Going forward, we will expand the use cases available in "JOYO AI AGENT" for various departments, including sales branches.
