1. Eligible Applicants

SMEs*2*3 (for ①, ②) that use or own*1 business establishments implementing eligible projects within Chiba Prefecture.

SMEs*2*3 (for ③) that conduct business activities for eligible projects within Chiba Prefecture.

*1. From this fiscal year, business establishment owners have been newly added as eligible.

*2. SMEs include companies, individuals, social welfare corporations, medical corporations, cooperatives, specified non-profit organizations, etc.

*3. Registration (application) to the "CO2CO2 (Kotsukotsu) Smart Declaration Business Establishment Registration System" by the application date is a requirement.

① Energy-Saving Diagnosis Category: 10 million yen per business, up to 1/2 of eligible expenses
② Simple Self-Diagnosis Category: 5 million yen per business, up to 1/4 of eligible expenses
③ EMS Introduction Category: 10 million yen per business, up to 1/3 of eligible expenses

(2) Eligible Subsidy Projects

Projects implemented at offices or business establishments within the prefecture that meet the following conditions are eligible:

* Projects that introduce equipment contributing to the promotion of energy saving and the utilization of renewable energy, based on the results of receiving an "energy-saving diagnosis" or conducting a "simple self-diagnosis" (applications for energy-saving diagnosis fees only are also possible) (①, ②)
* Projects that reduce energy-derived carbon dioxide emissions by 3 tons or more annually through the implementation of this project (①, ②)
* Projects that introduce EMS meeting the requirements specified in the application guidelines (③)
* Projects that have not yet commenced the subsidized work (①, ②, ③)

*Applications for energy-saving diagnoses began on May 11 (Monday) at the prefecture.
