・Background and Objectives of the Joint Project

The Naruto Strait whirlpools are a unique and unparalleled tourist resource representing Minamiawaji City. With a strong desire to deliver the charm of the whirlpools to more people and invigorate the entire region, "Michi-no-Eki Uzushio" and "Uzushio Cruise" have joined forces for the first time to realize this joint project. This project is a very casual, participatory campaign where anyone can apply simply by visiting one of the facilities, taking a photo, and posting it on social media. We have made the content such that participants can freely enjoy their experience in the Uzushio area without requiring visits to both facilities or following them on social media as mandatory conditions. With the slogan "The Uzushio Area is Hot!", we aim to improve recognition of the entire Uzushio area and create vibrancy by promoting the different charms of each facility. We hope that this project will serve as an opportunity for participants to rediscover the charms of Minamiawaji City and lead to the creation of new fans for the region. This project is the first joint project realized ahead of significant milestones for both organizations: the first anniversary of Michi-no-Eki Uzushio's renewal opening (scheduled for October 2026) and the 30th anniversary of Joyport Awajishima's founding (scheduled for February 2027).

1 Win a Prize Worth ¥100,000 for a Pair! Instagram Hashtag Campaign

Period: July 18, 2026 (Sat) 9:00 AM - August 31, 2026 (Mon) 11:59 PM

Application Conditions (No visit or purchase required): Take a photo with your smartphone of the "Campaign Target POP" displayed at either one of the following facilities.

Michi-no-Eki Uzushio: "1F Floor Photo Spot" or "Outdoor Spectacular Uzushio Plaza"

Uzushio Cruise: "Helm Photo Spot" near the boarding area or "Onboard Helm Photo Spot"

Hashtag: Post the photo on your Instagram feed with the hashtag "#うずしお界隈26夏" (#UzushioArea26Summer).

Prize: "All-Inclusive Uzushio Premium Pass" worth ¥100,000 for a pair, to be won by 5 pairs (10 people) through a lottery. This pass offers a return trip to Minamiawaji!

*This is an ultra-luxurious hospitality package worth ¥100,000 for a pair, including a pair of accommodation tickets (with breakfast and dinner) at "Minato Koshuku Kaori to AWAJISHIMA", lunch tickets for Irori Shokudo Uzushio, invitations to the Uzushio Cruise Premium Lounge, special experiences, and souvenir sets.

Awaji Island Resident Slot (1 pair): To express our deep gratitude to the island residents who support the community daily, one of the five pairs will be specially prepared as the "Awaji Island Resident Slot". We hope that local residents will rediscover the wonder of the "world's largest whirlpools", which they may not often have the chance to experience despite living nearby.

・How to Apply for the Resident Slot: In addition to the regular hashtag, please also use the hashtag "#淡路島民" (#AwajiIslandResident).

・Notes on Winning: Upon confirmation of winning the resident slot, we will request identity verification (such as current address) via DM or other means.

・Request for Regular Applications: If you do not wish to disclose your status as an island resident on social media or do not want your location to be identified, please participate in the regular application slot without adding the aforementioned hashtag ("#淡路島民").

Announcement of Winners: Winners will be selected through a strict lottery around mid-September 2026, and winners will be contacted directly via direct message (DM) from the official Instagram account.

2 Special Event (Limited to August 1-2)

★ "Uzubo" is Going Out!?

Michi-no-Eki Uzushio's official mascot character, "Uzubo", will make a special appearance at Uzushio Cruise! Uzubo will appear before customers waiting to board and send them off with high-fives and other lively interactions. Enjoy creating special travel memories with "Uzubo" in a sailor costume.

★Become a Captain with the Cruise's Special Helm!?

For the two days of the event, a cruise-special "Helm Photo Spot" will appear at Michi-no-Eki Uzushio. In addition to a realistic helm (ship's steering wheel), captain's hats and captain's uniforms will be provided. You can become a real captain with your whole family and take a unique photo that can only be taken here.

3 Commemorating the First Tag Team! Limited Edition Special Sticker Present

Details: A non-sale "Uzushio Cruise x Uzubo" first tag team commemorative limited collaboration sticker, created exclusively for this campaign, will be distributed to the first 5,000 customers at each facility (total 10,000 stickers). Furthermore, as a fun element of surprise until the moment you receive it, there will be a special specification where sparkling "rare (hologram) specification" stickers appear, exciting both adults and children (available until supplies last at each facility).

[How to Obtain]

・Michi-no-Eki Uzushio: Customers who collect keywords scattered throughout the facility and reach the goal will receive one sticker from a lottery box.

・Uzushio Cruise: Customers who spend ¥2,000 (tax included) or more per transaction at "Uzushio SHOP MARINE" in the boarding area shop will receive one sticker from a lottery box at the time of checkout (one sticker per transaction).
