Thank you sincerely for providing an opportunity for many people to watch the concert 'Utagoe wa Hibari to Tomo ni' at Shinjuku Koma Theater and Umeda Koma Theater, venues my mother deeply cherished during her lifetime. It was Misora Hibari's annual routine to perform as lead artist for one month at Umeda Koma Theater and two months at Shinjuku Koma Theater.
The 1981, 1983, and 1986 editions of 'Utagoe wa Hibari to Tomo ni' being broadcast represent a mature phase in Misora Hibari's career. Featuring timeless hits from her debut era, delicate traditional Japanese songs, upbeat pop tunes, and contemporary new and cover songs, each concert offers its own unique charm.
At the same time, these performances followed the consecutive losses of my mother and younger brother. They were tearful stages where she overcame profound grief, delivering breathtaking performances that still radiate strength and warmth today.
I sincerely hope that many people will enjoy 'Utagoe wa Hibari to Tomo ni,' a true crystallization of Misora Hibari's spirit.
