Tokai City Souzou no Mori Koryukan (managed by Chita Medias Network Co., Ltd.) is now accepting entries nationwide for the "TOKAI Creation Video Award" and "TOKAI Creation Scenario Award." In recent years, video has gained attention as an effective means of promoting a region's charm, culture, history, and people's lives both domestically and internationally. This competition broadly welcomes submissions from creators involved in video production and expression, as well as those who are promoting regional charm or challenging new forms of expression. Award-winning works will be selected through a rigorous screening process and the grand prize winners will be honored and screened at the "TOKAI Creation Video Festival 2026" to be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026. The "TOKAI Creation Video Festival 2026" will be held over two days, Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, 2026, and is expected to be a venue where video creators and visitors gather in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture, to create new value through exchange and information sharing.

Application Overview (Common) Eligibility:

Corporations, local governments, educational corporations, various organizations, individuals (professionals and amateurs welcome) Application Conditions:

- Works/scenarios created after January 2023, with Japan as the subject matter (no specified work duration).

- Please note that submitted works may be partially broadcast on Tokai City Souzou no Mori Koryukan and local cable television.

- Works that have been submitted to various film festivals and video festivals are also eligible.

- Submitted works may be disqualified if the organizer deems them to contain any of the following:

1 Infringement of third-party copyrights, portrait rights, or other rights.

2 Violation of public order and morals.

3 Defamation or harm to third parties.

<What is Tokai City Souzou no Mori Koryukan?>

This is a new cultural exchange facility in Tokai City where people can "watch," "create," and "enjoy" movies and videos. It features a hall for movie screenings, as well as a filming studio, video editing room, and professional audio equipment, creating a space where people can enjoy videos up close. It is also used as a place for local residents to gather and interact, with a gallery and meeting rooms.

Designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the building features warm wooden interiors and an impressive curved roof inspired by the floats of the Owari Yokosuka Festival (Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture). It is a place that fosters connections across generations and gives birth to new culture and creativity, hosting a variety of events and experiences.
