Tokyu Fudosan Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Tatsuaki Tanaka; hereinafter "Tokyu Fudosan") will participate in the "KAWASAKI NATURE LOOP Global Platform" (hereinafter "the Platform"), a new framework established on July 8th by Kawasaki City in collaboration with 19 private companies located within the city, aiming to create a sustainable positive cycle where nature and urban development grow together. The Platform is the first initiative of its kind in Japan to focus on discussions regarding the evaluation of greenery and biodiversity.

New Framework Established Through Collaboration with 19 Companies in the City Towards Realizing Nature Positive "KAWASAKI NATURE LOOP Global Platform" Established (at Kawasaki City Hall)

Background and Objectives for Establishing the "KAWASAKI NATURE LOOP Global Platform"

Stable socioeconomic development requires mitigating climate change risks. Alongside decarbonization and resource circulation, there is a growing global interest in biodiversity as a means to solve societal issues by leveraging the functions of natural ecosystems. Amidst the expansion of ESG investment, companies are increasingly disclosing information related to nature.

Kawasaki City has set forth a "Vision for Greenery" that outlines its direction for the next 100 years, aiming to address regional and global environmental challenges such as nature positive (ecological restoration) and climate change response. In line with this objective, the Platform has been established through collaboration with 19 companies, including Tokyu Fudosan, who have endorsed this initiative.

This initiative will challenge the "visualization of greenery and biodiversity" as a municipality for the first time, aiming to lead a positive cycle that is recognized globally. Furthermore, discussions here will be developed into a comprehensive initiative where diverse stakeholders such as citizens, companies, organizations, universities, and financial institutions can voluntarily participate.
