Tohoku University Launches 2026 "Materials Science Recurrent Seminar" - 15 On-Demand Courses for Corporate Engineers, Now Supporting Professional Open Badges -

The Department of Materials Science at Tohoku University's Graduate School of Engineering launched its 2026 "Materials Science Recurrent Seminar" for young corporate engineers on June 1st. This program is designed to help professionals systematically relearn practical materials science required in manufacturing. The 2026 curriculum is fully on-demand, allowing up to four months of self-paced study. Starting this year, participants who meet specific criteria will be awarded professional open badges. The program consists of 15 courses across three categories: foundational, advanced, and introductory, with flexible pricing based on the number of courses taken.
