JKK Tokyo to Hold Housing Consultation for Single-Parent Families on August 9, Reiwa 8 in Itabashi Ward

JKK Tokyo (Tokyo Housing and Urban Development Corporation: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; Chairperson: Kayoko Hama; hereinafter referred to as "JKK") will hold the "JKK Tokyo Housing Consultation for Single-Parent Families" on Sunday, August 9, Reiwa 8, with the support of Itabashi Ward, to assist single-parent households in their housing search.

This consultation session will introduce JKK housing†, accept applications for residency, provide consultations, and explain support systems for single-parent households. This will be the second time the event is held with the support of Itabashi Ward.

JKK is working to secure housing opportunities for single-parent households through consultation sessions in cooperation with local governments and various residency support measures such as rent discount programs.

Target Audience

Individuals residing in Itabashi Ward who are single-parent households or plan to become single-parent households.

(Both must have children under 20 years of age)

To facilitate smooth residency in JKK housing for single-parent households, JKK provides support through (1) relaxed income screening, (2) a rent discount system, and (3) a "Child-Rearing Household Housing Consultation Dial."

(1) Relaxed Income Screening

If you do not meet the monthly income standard for JKK housing residency, you can have your application reviewed by combining your monthly income with benefits such as "Child Rearing Allowance" or "Child Support Allowance" issued by your local government.

It is also possible to have your application reviewed based on the monthly income of a relative serving as a joint guarantor (conditions apply).

(2) Rent Discount System "Kodomo Sukusuku Wari" † Applies only to some housing in suburban areas.

In addition to a 20% discount on JKK housing rent, the first month of rent from the contract start date will be free.

◆ Target Housing

Units on the 4th and 5th floors of stairwell-type housing designated by our company among JKK housing in suburban areas.

◆ Discount Period

The discount period will be the longer of the following:

a. Until the end of the fiscal year in which the child turns 18, from the contract start date. b. Three years from the contract start date.
