Tokyo Skytree Town® Golden Week Events

Tokyo Skytree Town will host a variety of events from April through the Golden Week holiday period.

◆ The 4th Taiwan Festival — this year in collaboration with Tainan, the ancient capital of southern Taiwan

"Taiwan Festival in Tokyo Skytree Town® 2026 — Tainan Lantern Festival —" runs April 4 (Sat) through May 31 (Sun). Now firmly established as a popular Golden Week event, the festival features beloved classics like giant crispy chicken (大鶏排) and xiao long bao, plus Tainan specialties such as Tainan Tan-tzu Noodles and Tainan Shrimp Rice.

◆ Tokyo Skytree Town® Koinobori Festival 2026

Approximately 1,000 koinobori (carp streamers) will be displayed throughout Tokyo Skytree Town, letting visitors enjoy a spectacular swimming school of carp streamers. Among them, special garden eel streamers from Sumida Aquarium will also make an appearance!

◆ Events for kids and adults alike!

There's a full lineup of all-day fun including koinobori-themed workshops, limited-time events such as Sumida Aquarium's "Sumida Sea Lion Fan Appreciation Festival," the "Chiikawa Pocket POP UP STORE," and a Chiipoke 1st anniversary event.

Now in its 4th year, the beloved "Taiwan Festival in Tokyo Skytree Town® 2026 — Tainan Lantern Festival —" returns. This edition features a collaboration with Tainan City, the ancient capital of southern Taiwan, with special menus using fruit sourced from Tainan, one of Taiwan's top fruit-producing regions. Alongside familiar Taiwanese night market favorites, visitors can enjoy the "Tainan Set" featuring representative local Tainan dishes all in one, and "Tainan Shrimp Rice" — fragrant stir-fried baby shrimp with a rich, savory special sauce served over rice. The venue will be decorated with Tainan lanterns brought directly from Taiwan in cooperation with Tainan City. A merchandise corner will offer Taiwanese sweets and goods, and a traditional Taiwanese massage booth will be available to ease the stress of daily life.
