Hanazawa Gakuen Meisei High School (Location: Chuo-ku, Chiba City; Principal: Satoshi Hanazawa) will begin offering the next-generation metaverse high school educational system "MEISEI Schoolverse," co-developed with cluster Inc. (Location: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Naoto Kato), the developer and operator of the domestic metaverse platform "cluster," starting April 2027.

"MEISEI Schoolverse" Service Overview

"MEISEI Schoolverse" is an educational system that provides a new school experience where students access a high school in a metaverse space and attend school as avatars using just a smartphone. Fully leveraging the functions of the metaverse platform "cluster" provided by cluster, it integrates learning activities such as video lessons, mini-tests, and report submissions with real-time interaction with classmates. This creates an environment where students can obtain a high school diploma in three years.

By providing innovative learning experiences that fuse virtual and real, and cutting-edge ICT education utilizing diverse metaverse-specific teaching materials, we aim to create a learning environment that transcends the conventional norms of school education.

Achieve Your Own School Life with Avatars and AI Buddies

In "MEISEI Schoolverse," students can create their own unique avatars from approximately 30 million possible combinations by utilizing the functions of the metaverse platform "cluster."

In the metaverse, students can watch video lessons in real-time while sharing their thoughts and opinions with classmates, and can even take the same classes as full-time course students in special lectures.

Furthermore, each student will have a dedicated generative AI, "AI Buddy," which will support their school life by assisting with studies and offering advice, staying by their side.

Creative self-expression is possible through exhibiting drawn illustrations and featuring self-created characters and 3D models in the Schoolverse space. We provide an environment where students can freely express themselves while connecting with friends regardless of location.

School Experiences Unique to the Metaverse, Such as Music Live Events and Games

"MEISEI Schoolverse" plans to offer events for students to interact with each other, not just lessons.

We will provide a new school life that fuses real school events with online experiences, including music live events, game competitions, interactions in event spaces, and a metaverse cultural festival.

We are realizing a "next-generation school experience" where students can encounter new friends and values while participating from their favorite locations.

Overview of Hanazawa Gakuen Meisei High School

Hanazawa Gakuen Meisei High School is a comprehensive correspondence high school that opened in 2000 as the first private correspondence high school in Chiba Prefecture.

Advocating for "A New Form of High School," it offers education that goes beyond the framework of conventional correspondence high schools, providing diverse learning opportunities tailored to the individuality and lifestyle of each student.

It has also been an early adopter of ICT and online education, opening Japan's first "correspondence high school where you can attend as an avatar," "Cyber Learning Country," in 2015. We continue to pursue the possibilities of new education that evolves with the times.

In addition, a Nakano Campus was opened in the Nakano area of Tokyo in April 2017. A new school building is scheduled to open in the Chiba Minato area in September 2026, and the next-generation metaverse educational system "MEISEI Schoolverse" is scheduled to begin operation in April 2027. We are proceeding with the development of a new educational environment that fuses the real and the metaverse.

We provide an environment where students can grow through actively challenging themselves not only in their studies but also in school events, club activities, volunteer work, and various training programs. Our educational goal is "autonomy and independence," and we practice education that leads to each student's "confidence" and "independence" by learning and accumulating experiences on their own.
