At the foot of Mount Kai-komagatake in Yamanashi Prefecture, the invitation-only, location-private sauna 'YUUKA' has launched its first outward-facing access point, the 'Kamori Spot Experience,' on July 1, 2026.

The price is ¥11,000 (tax included).

For two hours, guests experience the fire of burning wood and the water of a nearby stream in a wilderness where no one lives within a 500-meter radius. YUUKA does not disclose prices or locations. This is the first and only time the venue has opened a priced entry point.

A Gateway Opened Just Once

YUUKA has operated as a destination only for those who are invited. It does not appear in searches or on maps. Prices are not disclosed to the public.

Now, for the first time, one entrance is being opened: the Kamori Spot Experience. This is a special opportunity for individuals to visit YUUKA once before undergoing review to become a member (Kamori).

In a wilderness with no people within a 500-meter radius, guests experience a wood-fired sauna exceeding 100°C and the water of a nearby stream.

The experience lasts two hours and costs ¥11,000 (tax included). The exact location and directions will be individually communicated to those who apply.

Why a place that never reveals prices is now disclosing one

YUUKA does not disclose usage fees even to members after they join.

This place chooses not to be compared by price.

Yet, for this one initial opportunity, it sets and reveals a price: ¥11,000, as a marker that entry is possible.

Whether to go further can be decided after experiencing fire and water. A step has been placed forward for those who find the word 'invitation' too distant.

Fire, Water, and Silence

YUUKA is located in a wilderness in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Within a 500-meter radius, there are no people, no sounds, no lights, no gazes.

The cold plunge is the stream flowing right beside the sauna. It ranges from around 14°C in spring, 18°C in summer, and 8°C in winter. The water is so clear that the streambed is visible. The source, Mount Kai-komagatake, is a granite mountain that solidified about 14 million years ago. Rain and snow take approximately 20 years to filter through the strata, becoming soft water with low hardness. This area has been selected three times for the Ministry of the Environment's '100 Famous Waters of Japan.' The fire reaches over 100°C, fueled by wood. Guests themselves tend the fire. There is no prescribed way to spend the time; how one uses it is entirely up to the visitor.

Tracing a day in YUUKA on screen before arriving

YUUKA features a browser game titled 'YUUKA — A Day as a Kamori.' It starts immediately upon opening in a smartphone browser—no app installation required.

Move stones in the stream to dam the flow. Light the fire. Smell the smoke. Search for a spot to place a chair in the forest. It’s a small game that traces a day at YUUKA on screen. Use it as preparation before your Kamori Spot Experience, or as an entry point on days you can't visit. Light a fire on screen, and when you feel ready to close it, that’s enough. Toward Kamori: The Main Journey

The Kamori Spot Experience is an entrance. Beyond it lies YUUKA as a Kamori (member).

From those who register on the official website, a select few are initially invited and contacted as Kamori. After registration, a review process confirms their commitment to not disclose location or pricing externally and to uphold respect for fire, water, and people. Approved Kamori can reserve their preferred time in one-hour increments via the member portal. There is only one structure, and reserved times are never shared with others. YUUKA is not a completed facility but a place gradually nurtured by bringing fire and water into the wilderness.

A Small Paradox in the Information Age

The quiet desire to disconnect from smartphones is spreading. According to a SHIBUYA109 lab. survey (published March 2026, 574 respondents aged 15–24 in one metropolis and three prefectures), 62.2% reported feeling 'smartphone fatigue,' with 79.3% citing SNS as the primary cause. The company named 'Attention Detox' as a key trend for 2026. Stepping away from constant public attention—YUUKA offers exactly that time in the wilderness. The Kamori Spot Experience is the first step into that time.
