Smartphone App 'NTV NEWS NNN' Released! Towards a More 'Participatory' TV Experience

Nippon Television Network Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Operating Officer: Hiroyuki Fukuda) released the smartphone app 'NTV NEWS NNN' on April 6th. In addition to providing 24/7 news coverage, the app implements new features allowing users to participate in news programs.

■ Towards a More 'Participatory' TV Experience
Through the app, users will be able to participate in news programs such as 'news every.' and 'Oha!4 NEWS LIVE'. By conducting polls and soliciting posts on the app, we deliver a new viewing experience where your opinions and submissions may be directly reflected in the broadcast.

On 'news every.', we are launching 'Hey, Sora Jiro'. Users will be able to easily send questions to Nippon TV's weather character 'Sora Jiro' from the app. Sora Jiro might even answer your questions live on the program.

We pick up local news from the network of 30 NNN-affiliated companies. Simply by setting your current location or hometown in the 'Regional Settings', you can check the latest news from each company at any time via tabs on the top screen.

We update the news 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Scheduled news updates, delivered twice a day, are sent via push notifications. We also deliver breaking news on major events, weather, and disasters promptly through push notifications. You can browse and watch news across a wide range of genres, from politics, society, international affairs, and economics to sports and culture, at any time.
