"Miku Maekawa" Manhole Celebrates 1st Anniversary in Tokoname City, Aichi! Second Wave of New Merchandise Announced!!!!!!!!!

Tokoname Tourism Association is pleased to announce the release of a second wave of new merchandise featuring a collaboration between "Miku Maekawa" and Tokoname's guardian cat "Tokonyan," to commemorate the first anniversary of the "Futamas!!!!!!" THE IDOLM@STER manhole project's "Miku Maekawa" manhole in Tokoname City on July 30, 2026. The detailed lineup of the new merchandise is scheduled to be unveiled on Friday, July 10, 2026. Please look forward to the first anniversary!

"Miku Maekawa" Manhole Marks 1st Anniversary

"Futamas!!!!!!" is a project to install original manhole covers designed with idols associated with various regions, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of "THE IDOLM@STER" series. The manhole featuring "Miku Maekawa," the representative idol for Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, was installed in Tokoname City on July 30, 2025. Since its installation, fans have been seen visiting Tokoname to see the manhole, take commemorative photos, and enjoy walking around the city.

Message from Tokoname Tourism Association

"We hope that everyone who visits Tokoname because of the Miku Maekawa manhole will not only see the manhole but also experience the unique charms of this city, such as the Pottery Footpath, Tokoname ware, Maneki-neko (beckoning cats), and local cuisine. We would be delighted if the new merchandise becomes a memento to celebrate the first anniversary together, and serves as an opportunity to explore Tokoname and to visit again."

First Wave Merchandise Still Available

The first wave of merchandise, featuring a collaboration between "Miku Maekawa" and the guardian cat "Tokonyan," including "stickers," "can badges," and "rubber keychains," are still available for purchase at the Tokoname Tourist Information Center.

Additionally, the first wave merchandise is also offered as a return gift for Tokoname City's hometown tax donation program. Those living far away can also enjoy these unique collaboration goods from Tokoname through the hometown tax donation.

Manhole Cards Also Distributed Since Last Year

Manhole cards featuring the design of the Miku Maekawa manhole have been distributed at the Tokoname Tourist Information Center since last year. By visiting the information center after viewing the manhole to pick up a manhole card and the new merchandise, visitors can deepen their memories of their visit to Tokoname.
