Shimamura Gakki Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Edogawa-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Toshiaki Hirose; hereinafter 'Shimamura Gakki') announces the launch of a special collaborative project titled 'Furniture meets Sound' with SAUTER, the piano brand for which it serves as the official Japanese distributor, and Ligne Roset, the French interior brand licensed and produced in Japan by Dream Bed Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima; President & CEO: Hiroto Miyake; hereinafter 'Dream Bed'). The event will be held sequentially at two locations in Osaka and Fukuoka starting Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Centered on the concept of 'comfortable living where refined furniture and pianos harmonize,' this project will showcase interior coordination combining Ligne Roset products with SAUTER pianos.

The exhibition will be held from June 16 (Tue) to July 20 (Mon, national holiday) at 'Ligne Roset Umeda' and 'Shimamura Gakki Grand Front Osaka Store,' and from September 2 (Wed) to September 27 (Sun) at 'Ligne Roset Fukuoka' and 'Shimamura Gakki Iwataya Fukuoka Store'.

Background of the Collaboration

This collaboration was made possible through the connection of European designer Peter Maly, who has worked with both brands.

Mr. Maly designed the best-selling 'Roset Peter Maly Bed' for Ligne Roset, a product that became his signature work and established his global reputation as a designer.

He has also served as the designer for SAUTER's 'DESIGN EDITION' series, introducing stylish pianos that naturally blend into modern lifestyles.

Building on these shared connections, and driven by the desire to convey the joy of enjoying music in a refined interior space, the fulfillment brought by living with a piano, and the unique appeal of each brand's products to a wider audience, the project was launched under the theme 'Furniture meets Sound'.

Overview of 'Furniture meets Sound'

Under the theme 'Furniture meets Sound,' selected stores of Ligne Roset and Shimamura Gakki will display interior coordination that combines their respective products.

Playing the piano brings comfort to daily life. When such a space is enriched with carefully selected interior furnishings, it creates a more comfortable and fulfilling experience.

This exhibition blends Ligne Roset's sophisticated furniture with SAUTER pianos to express a pleasant living environment centered around the piano.

At Ligne Roset's venues, SAUTER's 'DESIGN EDITION' designed by Mr. Maly will be displayed alongside in-store products.

At Shimamura Gakki's venues, Ligne Roset's popular 'ROSETPrado' sofa and the 'ROSETBendchair' designed by Mr. Maly will be displayed alongside SAUTER pianos.

We invite you to experience the high-quality space where characterful furniture harmonizes with a historic piano.
