Iwase Cosfa Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Yoshinori Iwase, hereinafter "Iwase Cosfa"), a specialized trading company for cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and health food ingredients, will fully commence operations of its next-generation logistics hub, "Tsukuba Logistics," on July 1, 2026. This facility, built on the site of its existing warehouse in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, aims to further strengthen its logistics system and improve services in line with business expansion.

This renovation significantly scales up the facility, with the building area approximately 2.7 times larger and the total floor area approximately 4.5 times larger than the old warehouse. Equipped with automatic filling equipment and a high-hygiene division room, it has evolved into a functional hub capable of responding flexibly and promptly to increasingly diverse customer needs.

Background: A Sincere Challenge to the Worsening "Logistics Problem"

In recent years, the cosmetics and healthcare markets have seen a rapid increase in demand for a wider variety of products in smaller lots and shorter delivery times. Iwase Cosfa has revamped its facility from a conventional storage-focused warehouse into a "value creation platform" that integrates cutting-edge technology with environmental considerations. As a next-generation hub tackling the logistics crisis, we will promote DX to achieve both reliable quality control and speedy supply.

Three Features of "Tsukuba Logistics"

1. Supply Capacity with "3x" Storage Efficiency and "4x" Operational Efficiency Through Latest System Implementation

In line with business growth, the total floor area has been significantly expanded by approximately 4.5 times. Furthermore, by adopting the latest rack system, storage efficiency has been improved to three times that of the conventional facility.

In addition, new state-of-the-art automatic filling equipment and material handling machinery have been introduced.

This has increased on-site operational efficiency by four times, establishing a supply system that can respond quickly to the diverse needs of multi-product, small-lot orders.

2. High-Hygiene Environment and Strict Temperature Control

The facility is fully equipped with a division room (Clean Class 100,000) boasting strict hygiene standards and the latest temperature control systems (constant temperature warehouses and refrigerators).

We provide safe and secure ingredients by maintaining a high level of quality control from procurement to delivery.

3. Green Strategy Through Introduction of Solar Power Generation, etc.

To realize a sustainable society, we have thoroughly implemented an environmentally friendly facility design. Natural energy is efficiently utilized through solar panels installed across the entire roof and storage batteries, while CO2 emissions are reduced in multiple ways through LED lighting used throughout the facility and efficient delivery routes.
