Digital Makerspace 'TOMING' Opens in Tomioka Town!

▮Purpose

Itonab Inc., a member company of the Tomioka Working Base (TWB) operated by Tomioka Town, is pleased to announce the opening of 'TOMING (Tomingu),' a digital makerspace, at the TWB facility.

▮What is TOMING?

TOMING is a digital experience hub for children established by Itonab Inc. The space enables young people to turn their 'I want to try this!' ideas into reality using digital tools such as tablets for illustration, programming experiences, and 3D printing for making physical objects.

The name 'TOMING' reflects the hope that connections and encounters born in Tomioka (TOMI) will continue evolving (ING) indefinitely.

To celebrate the opening of TOMING at the TWB, an opening ceremony will be held as follows:

Date and Time: Saturday, July 11, Reiwa 8 (2026), 1:00 PM (Doors open at 12:45 PM)

Venue: 1st Floor, Tomioka Working Base (NTT Iwaki-Tomioka Building, 2-83 Tomioka, Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture)

1:00 PM – 1:50 PM: Opening Ceremony

1:50 PM – 2:45 PM: Hands-on Experience Session (Digital making activities)

3:00 PM: Closing

Tomioka Working Base is a satellite office opened by Tomioka Town in September of Reiwa 5 (2023). It aims to promote collaboration between large corporations, startups, and other organizations to address local community challenges. The first floor features a co-working space, while the second floor offers private dedicated rooms.
