Toyama Business Continuity Seminar Announced to Help Small Businesses Prepare for Disasters and Cyberattacks

The Toyama Prefecture Federation of Societies of Commerce and Industry (Location: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture; Chairman: Mitsuaki Miyamoto), in collaboration with 12 local chambers of commerce and related organizations, will hold a seminar titled 'Protecting Your Company, Employees, and Customers! Business Continuity Strengthening Seminar' on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Toyama Prefecture Small and Medium Enterprise Training Center in Toyama City. The event is aimed at small business owners and chamber of commerce management instructors within the prefecture.

In recent years, frequent natural disasters and cyberattacks have become major challenges in corporate management. To build a company resilient against such risks, formulating a 'Business Continuity Strengthening Plan' certified by the government is essential. This seminar will explain in detail the procedures and benefits of creating this plan. Additionally, it will introduce the 'FY2026 Toyama Prefecture Small Business Business Continuity Strengthening Subsidy' for disaster and cyber countermeasures, which is currently open for applications and has been expanded this fiscal year. Individual consultation sessions will also be held for those interested.

The purpose of this seminar is to provide small business owners with an opportunity to learn about the usefulness and creation methods of the plan, helping them take the first step toward actual formulation and resolving any questions they may have. At the same time, it aims to help chamber of commerce management instructors deepen their understanding of the plan and subsidies, further strengthening their ability to support local businesses.
