Collaboration Objectives Amidst increasing uncertainty in corporate management due to fluctuations in commercial flows, disasters, and supply chain disruptions, financial institutions are required to provide more sophisticated corporate support, screening, and monitoring services. The Resona Group and BrainPad have previously worked on advancing the Resona Group's operations based on data, promoting the use of data and AI in financial practice, such as through the provision of "Data Ignition" (Note 1), an AI software for business support tailored to regional financial institutions. By adding Fujitsu—which possesses high technical capabilities and extensive knowledge in social implementation in the data and AI fields—to this collaboration, the partners aim to co-create next-generation data and AI utilization models that look beyond mere use-case creation in financial operations toward expansion into regional and cross-industry sectors.

Through the co-creation of data and AI, we will support the sustainable growth of regional economies.

In this collaboration, the Resona Group's actual operations will serve as a field for verification and pilot use, creating various use cases that lead to the advancement of business processes in financial operations such as corporate evaluation, monitoring, and sales support. Furthermore, by combining the practical knowledge and financial data cultivated through the collaboration between the Resona Group and BrainPad with Fujitsu's data & AI technology, its "Uvance" business model offerings based on social issues, and diverse external data such as commercial flows and supply chains, we will transform decision-making and value-creation processes in business. In addition to providing value to regional financial institutions, this will support the sustainable growth of regional economies.

Collaboration Details 1. Transformation of financial operations within the Resona Group through the use of AI agents The three companies will accelerate the realization and verification of data utilization and the integration of AI agents into operations within the Resona Group. With the following use-case proposals in mind, we aim to maximize the value provided by financial services: - Business support that leads to more sophisticated decision-making by utilizing AI agents that autonomously handle data collection and suggestion presentation, thereby improving both the quality and quantity of customer understanding, proposals, and judgments by sales staff. - Transformation of business processes that rely excessively on human experience and judgment through the verification of AI agents that autonomously judge and act in response to coordination with various other AI agents and changes in business operations.

2. Deployment of practical models to regional financial institutions To deploy the knowledge cultivated within the Resona Group to regional financial institutions, we will work on the development and advancement of Data Ignition, the optimization of operation and connection methods suitable for financial business flows, and the consideration of new business models.

3. Contribution to regional economic development through the expansion of financial data By linking external data such as commercial flows and supply chains with the knowledge gained from our efforts to date, we will examine the potential for financial data utilization that leads to new value creation, while contributing to the sustainable development of regional economies: - Creation of new transaction opportunities and financial services based on changes in inter-company transaction relationships and business environments. - Pursuit of data-linked approaches aimed at expanding transaction circulation and industrial revitalization in regional economies. - Consideration of the potential for collaboration with local governments, ecosystem formation, and models for returning value to the entire region.

Roles of Each Company - Resona Holdings: Plays a core role in providing actual financial operations as a field for verification and pilot use, and verifying the effectiveness and operational suitability of data and AI utilization through operational knowledge and feedback from the front lines. - BrainPad: Responsible for setting issues and building hypotheses tailored to financial practice, and supporting the effective use of AI agents in the field by deriving insights through analysis using data science. - Fujitsu: Responsible for the design and implementation of the AI infrastructure and architecture that integrates diverse data across the board to support new value creation. Leveraging its knowledge cultivated through years of financial institution system development and operation, its "Uvance for Finance" solution group, and AI technology knowledge including the AI agent "Watomo" and the large language model "Takane," Fujitsu will realize the deployment of the practical models established within the Resona Group to various regions and industries, while advancing the sustainable growth of regional economies.
