The Research Center for ASOBI Creation (hereafter, RCAC), established at Ritsumeikan University, will set up a special booth at BitSummit PUNCH, held from May 22nd to 24th, 2026, at Kyoto International Exhibition Hall "Miyakomesse." The booth will feature three works by student game creators belonging to the center, as well as three works by students from the Department of Game and Interactive Art, Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, who have collaborated with Ritsumeikan University for a long time.
Among these, the three works selected from Ritsumeikan University were created within the "Game Creation Continuum Project (GCCP)," which aims to realize the inheritance of academic, cultural, and production education for game creator development and infrastructure construction. This project, launched in November 2025, is part of the "Creator Support Project (Training Program Construction and Implementation) in the Game Field" by the Japan Creator Support Fund, established within the Japan Arts Council with subsidies from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. We first unveiled the works being nurtured in this project at our unique exhibition, C-BIT Exhibition, held in January 2026. Furthermore, from numerous supported works, pieces evaluated for their potential as works by a group consisting of center members with long experience in the game and creative industries, and active game creators who were formerly enrolled at Ritsumeikan University and are now active in the field, have been carefully selected for exhibition.
In addition to game exhibits, panels on the activities of this project will also be displayed on the day. Creators belonging to the center will welcome visitors and explain how to play the games, so please feel free to stop by.
Details of the exhibition contents will be updated regularly on the appendix of this release and the official SNS of the Game Creation Continuum Project (GCCP), so please be sure to check.
