Third Wave of Cast Members Announced: Misaki Kuno, Ayaka Asai, and Mayumi Shintani! Character Information & Comments from the Cast Also Arrive!

As part of the third wave of cast and character announcements, Misaki Kuno will voice Sorokotani, the intelligent wife of the fourth prince Tolui; Ayaka Asai will voice Moge, the fourth consort of the Mongol Empire's Emperor Ögedei; and Mayumi Shintani will voice Kirghistan, the third consort.

This is the first time in my voice acting career that I've played a role with a husband and children. I was very, very happy.

I've always aspired to play roles that match my age, so I am filled with gratitude to the production staff for entrusting me with the role of Sorokotani.

During the recording sessions, the direction was very meticulous, and each session was a continuous process of realization, reflection, and challenge, making it so enjoyable that my heart danced every time.

She deeply admires Borochin and describes herself as "not very smart," but has an innocent and straightforward personality.

I am Ayaka Asai, and I will be playing the role of Moge.

When I read the original manga, I was immediately drawn in by the contrast between Tomato Soup-sensei's soft art style and the tense atmosphere that pervades the entire story.

Each character is depicted with such care as they live their lives earnestly, each with their own position and feelings, and I couldn't stop turning the pages.

Moge, whom I play, is one of those individuals living her life true to herself within that world.

I recorded the role while cherishing the unique atmosphere of the work and Moge's charm.

Kirghistan (CV: Mayumi Shintani)

Third consort of Ögedei.

She has intense emotional fluctuations, acting cute and doting on Ögedei, while also openly harboring rivalry and hostility towards other consorts.

She also has a side characterized by strong emotions, easily becoming flustered and causing a commotion when trouble arises.

This is the story of women who lived in the shadows of the history carved out by heroic men.

I empathize equally with the tender solidarity that brings tears to my eyes and the chillingly cruel betrayals, perhaps because what fundamentally drives them, no matter how cleverly they scheme and strategize, is pure love and passion.

Kirghistan, while appearing to navigate things skillfully, has a background that would be quite harsh by modern standards. Through this work, I felt that there were women who lived resiliently while being swept away by the times and customs, and it was an exciting experience to portray her. The set was fun!!

Story
