(Nishi-ku, Osaka) will launch the 'Augusto Reposado' and 'Augusto Joven' premium tequilas, the world's first to be aged throughout the entire process exclusively in sherry casks, in Japan on June 1, 2026. The birth of the tequila brand 'Augusto' began with a journey to pursue new possibilities in the Jalisco region of Mexico. This work is the result of accumulating solid experience to compete with existing proven brands, while respecting traditional methods passed down from long ago and reaching a unique new goal. Its greatest feature is the aging process using empty sherry casks. By purchasing and using Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks through a contract with the major Spanish bodega 'Gonzalez Byass,' the world's first full sherry cask-aged premium tequila was born. Its characteristic flavor and taste are special and cannot be experienced anywhere else. 'Tequila Augusto' is also designed to match a luxury lifestyle. It uses local groundwater and 100% natural blue agave aged for 7 years, cooked in brick high-pressure kilns, and then naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks. Distillation is performed twice in copper pot stills, followed by aging in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and then diluted to 81.6 proof (40.8% alcohol) before bottling.
