Gooday Donates 1.6 Million Yen Worth of Flower Seedlings to Public Facilities in Fukuoka City

Gooday Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Fukuoka; President: Takashi Yanase), which operates 67 'Gooday' home centers in Northern Kyushu, Yamaguchi, and other areas, will donate flower seedlings and shrubs worth 1.6 million yen to Fukuoka City. This follows the achievement of its target sales volume (1.6 million pots) in February 2026 for the 'Aim for 1.6 Million Pots! One Flower Per Person Campaign,' which started in November 2025 as an initiative to support the 'One Flower Per Person' movement promoted by Fukuoka City.

This donation is based on Fukuoka City's population of approximately 1.6 million people. By providing flower seedlings, Gooday contributes to the 'One Flower Per Person' movement, which promotes the development of a city full of flowers and greenery through collaboration among citizens, companies, and the government.

The donation will be made to public facilities within Fukuoka City (such as ward offices), with the specific locations to be determined in consultation with the city. Planting is scheduled to begin sequentially from fiscal year 2026 (after Golden Week).

In addition to providing the flower seedlings, Gooday also plans to offer cooperation, such as advice on planting. Maintenance will be carried out by the respective facility managers.

The creation of foot traffic through flowers and the gentle coloring of public spaces contribute to enhancing the city's attractiveness.
