Konan Kitchen LLC (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, Representative Member: Shohei Sunada), a company specializing in hotel IT solutions, has developed a new 'Concept Room Function' for its hotel in-room TV information system 'asagotta TV'. This function allows hotels to display a splash screen upon TV startup and switch the main information screen for specific rooms and limited periods, enabling the creation of a concept room's world view, including on the TV screen.

Background of Development

The development began in response to requests from hotels, such as 'We want to unify the world view of our concept rooms' and 'We want to promote collaboration projects with characters more effectively.'

Conventionally, asagotta TV was designed as a system that displayed a uniform information screen throughout the entire hotel. While this offered the advantage of centralized management of in-house information, it could not accommodate requests to differentiate the presentation by room.

In recent years, an increasing number of hotels have been launching collaboration rooms with characters from anime and games, food manufacturers, and sports teams, or setting up concept rooms with original themes and presentations. While bedding and amenities could be changed to collaboration specifications, the in-room TV screens remained uniform across the hotel. The 'Concept Room Function' was developed to solve this issue.

Main Features of the 'Concept Room Function'

Screen Switching for Specific Rooms and Periods Without affecting all rooms, only the rooms designated as concept rooms can have their information screen switched to a concept room specification for a set period. For limited-time collaboration projects, the display automatically reverts to normal after the period ends, eliminating management hassle.

Full-Screen Themed Images or Videos on TV Startup When the TV is turned on, specified still images or videos can be inserted full-screen before transitioning to the normal information screen. By displaying images tailored to the concept room's theme, or videos of collaboration characters and product advertisements, the collaborative world view can be delivered in full screen.

Unified World View on the Top Information Screen The main information top screen can be designed according to the theme, displaying photos of collaboration products, catchphrases, or QR codes linking to product detail sites. By simply scanning the QR code, guests can be directed to purchase sites or special pages, creating a pathway from the in-room experience to purchasing behavior.

Anime Collaboration Play the anime's opening video in full screen upon room TV startup. Display character visuals and a QR code for merchandise purchase on the top screen.
