## About MATAHARI COFFEE
MATAHARI COFFEE is a cafe located in Teramachi, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. We provide self-roasted coffee, handmade spice curry with carefully selected ingredients, and homemade sweets.

Since its opening in March 2025, we have welcomed over 11,000 groups and a total of more than 15,000 customers. From homemakers and business professionals to students and seniors, we serve a wide range of generations, occasionally seeing two or three generations spending time together. It has become a place where people naturally gather and spend their own time every day.

The second-floor seating is highly rated for its relaxing atmosphere, featuring sofa seats popular for families and groups, as well as counter seats often used by solo customers and business people. The exterior is a renovated traditional Japanese house, marked by gabions at the front. Our 'Shrimp Coconut Milk Curry' has been popular since the beginning, and we offer 2-3 types of handmade spice curries during lunch. All our coffee is roasted on-site, with a selection of about 10 types of beans ranging from the dark roasts favored by locals to light roasts selected by the owner.

This area, centered around the National Treasure Matsue Castle designated in 2015, features cultural facilities like the Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum and historic streets. It has garnered renewed attention recently, partly due to being featured in a morning drama series.

We believe that a landmark coffee stand where people can easily stop by during sightseeing will further enhance the land's charm, convenience, and visitor satisfaction. A cafe is more than just a place to provide drinks; a cup of coffee and the time spent there, the conversations and encounters born in that space, enrich a person's experience. Furthermore, we want Matsue Castle to be a place where locals naturally head to, not just for tourism.

By adding a place where tourists can enjoy authentic coffee and locals can visit daily to enjoy a cup or choose beans, the area will become richer for both visitors and residents. For example, for tourists, time spent with a coffee in hand can be a catalyst for feeling the city's charm more deeply, leading to longer stays. For locals, having a place they can visit as an extension of their daily lives turns the Matsue Castle area from a 'special place' into a 'place in daily life.' We hope that by having tourists and locals share the same space, a gentle bustle will be created, increasing the area's value as a place where people gather and stay.

We also serve students stopping by after graduations or coming-of-age ceremonies, and parents with babies or business people in their daily routine.

We offer a wide range of roasts to cater to each customer's preference and constantly refine our spice curry and sweets. By diversifying our drink menu, we ensure various customers can enjoy their time in their own way. MATAHARI COFFEE has grown as a place where people can gather across generations and backgrounds.
