Support 'RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2026 in EZO' via Furusato Nozei!

The outdoor music festival 'RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2026 in EZO,' a staple of summer in Hokkaido, will be held again this year in Ishikari City. It is organized by WESS Co., Ltd. and supported by the cities of Ishikari and Otaru.

'RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL' (RSR) is Japan's first full-scale all-night outdoor rock festival, dating back to 1999. It will take place on August 14th and 15th, 2026, at the outdoor special stage by the Tarukawa Pier at Ishikari Bay New Port (Ishikari City and Otaru City).

Ishikari City regards this festival as an irreplaceable cultural resource. Beyond just being a music event, the city collaborates closely with the organizers to aim for sustainable festival management and regional issue resolution. The city has already implemented projects such as backstage tours for high school students and the donation of 'street guitars' to the large children's facility 'Kodomo Mirai-kan Aiport.'

Given this, the city is offering festival tickets as rewards through the Furusato Nozei program to deepen the connection between the festival and Ishikari. Applications open on June 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM, and donations will be used for regional revitalization in Ishikari.
