Major Activities in the 2025 Fiscal Year
Based on the foundation's 'Three Pillars,' the following initiatives were carried out in the 2025 fiscal year:
1. 'Support for Children': Promoting Independence for Children Living Under Social Care
To ensure children do not have to give up on their futures due to economic or environmental challenges, the foundation provided support through independence seminars and scholarships to help them transition into society through education or employment.
Shiseido Children's Foundation Scholarship: Provided grant-type scholarships to children aspiring to enter higher education institutions (universities, vocational schools, etc.), reducing their financial burden and supporting an environment where they can focus on their studies.
Independence Support Seminars: Collaborated with various organizations to offer seminars that equip children with essential social knowledge for independence and programs that encourage them to think about their futures.
2. 'Support for Child-Rearing Professionals': Enhancing the Expertise of Child Welfare Workers
The foundation supported the professional development of child welfare staff, foster parents, and others who support children's healthy growth on the front lines.
Milestone and Summary of the Shiseido Child Welfare Overseas Training Program: In 2025, the program celebrated its 50th iteration. A large-scale social impact survey was conducted targeting program alumni and facility directors, visualizing how the training significantly contributes to individual career development and organizational vitality. Results were shared via a dedicated website and other channels.
Seminars and Grants: To address the evolving challenges in child welfare, the foundation provided training opportunities led by overseas training alumni and offered grants to support autonomous research and initiatives at the frontline.
3. 'Information Sharing with the Public': Grants for Parenting Seminars and Awareness Campaigns on Child Abuse Prevention
To realize a society where all children can grow up safely and healthily, the foundation provided grants for parenting seminars and awareness-raising activities targeted at local communities.
