The Yokohama Archives of History signed a memorandum of understanding with Yokohama University of Commerce on June 2, 2025, to carry out a project for students to disseminate information about cultural tourism.

We are pleased to announce that as a result of this project, a picture book introducing the 'Tamakusu no Ki' (camphor tree), the symbolic tree of the opening of the Port of Yokohama, has been completed.

【Distribution of the Picture Book】

Starting Wednesday, April 1st, the book will be given to those who request it or purchase related items at the Yokohama Archives of History Museum Shop & Café, PORTER'S LODGE. There are also plans to donate the book to kindergartens and nursery schools in Naka Ward, Yokohama, and to distribute it to event participants.
