The Yokohama Archives of History concluded a memorandum of understanding with Yokohama College of Commerce on June 2, Reiwa 7 (2025), to implement a project on cultural tourism information dissemination by students. We are pleased to announce that a picture book introducing 'Tamukusu no Ki,' the symbolic tree of the opening of Yokohama Port, has been completed as a result of this project.

[About the distribution of the picture book] From April 1st (Wednesday) onwards, it will be given to those who wish or who purchase products related to 'Tamukusu no Ki' at the Yokohama Archives of History Museum Shop & Cafe PORTER'S LODGE. In the future, we also plan to donate it to kindergartens and nursery schools in Naka Ward, Yokohama City, and distribute it to event participants.
