Four companies have been selected for the second cohort of the 'Amagasaki Manufacturing Challenge,' a project where Amagasaki's manufacturing companies take on the challenge of creating 'heart-stirring masterpieces.'

What is the Amagasaki Manufacturing Challenge?

This is a product development project implemented by Amagasaki City, a member organization of the Open Innovation Core Amagasaki.

Amagasaki boasts a manufacturing shipment value comparable to an entire prefecture and has supported Japanese manufacturing with industries such as steel and chemicals.

Years of cultivated technology and wisdom are embedded throughout this city.

However, much of this has been refined deep within business-to-business transactions.

While supporting daily life, their existence and value are rarely widely known, carrying a sense of frustration that they are 'amazing, yet invisible.'

This project is a challenge to deliver the 'essential value' held by Amagasaki's manufacturing companies to more people. Through co-creation with creators, it aims to transcend function and performance, sublimate into 'masterpieces' that stir people's hearts, connect with people and markets never encountered before, and generate new value.
