Sato Yakuhin Kogyo Opens 'Satoyaku Baseball Academy'

On March 28, Sato Yakuhin Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture; President: Masahiro Sato) officially launched the 'Satoyaku Baseball Academy' (SBA), a rubber-ball baseball club team for junior high school students living in Nara Prefecture, as part of efforts to support the regionalization of school club activities promoted by the Japan Sports Agency.

While the regionalization of club activities is being promoted nationwide due to declining birthrates and the need to reduce long working hours for teachers, new challenges have emerged, such as securing instructors, establishing environments like facilities and funding, and addressing opportunity gaps. Given these regional challenges, our company—which has long maintained an active adult rubber-ball baseball team and employs many staff members with rubber-ball baseball coaching certifications—established the Satoyaku Baseball Academy in 2025 and has been preparing the coaching structure and operations. With the opening on March 28, we have begun providing continuous and organized baseball instruction for junior high school students.

This initiative contributes to the 'promotion of youth development, education, culture, and sports' outlined in the comprehensive partnership agreement signed between Kashihara City and our company in August 2025. Beyond operating the academy, we aim to build a sustainable model for the regionalization of club activities in cooperation with local educational institutions and stakeholders, while contributing to the resolution of local community issues.
