It has been announced that the 45th 'Noguchi Mizuki Cup 2026 Chunichi Mie Oisesan Marathon' will be held this year.
The previous '2025 Oisesan Marathon' ranked first in the half marathon category for large-scale events (over 7,000 participants) in the Runnet Event Rankings, and also first overall in the December event category. It has been selected as one of the 'Top 100 National Running Events' for three consecutive years.
The event will be led by Athens Olympic women's marathon gold medalist Mizuki Noguchi. A Walk and Barrier-free Run will take place on Saturday, December 5th, and Running events (Half Marathon and 5km) will be held on Sunday, December 6th. All courses will start and finish at the Mie Prefectural Sun Arena.

2. Event Introductions - **Walk (Dec 5)**: An approximately 6km scenic course going around the Asamayama Foothills Park, allowing participants to enjoy the rich natural landscape. - **Barrier-free Run (Dec 5)**: A special 1.8km course around the Sun Arena. Open to individuals using wheelchairs, canes, walkers, and those with physical, visual, intellectual, developmental, or internal disabilities. Participants can run with family/friends as guides, and volunteer support can be arranged via the NPO Ise-Shima Barrier-Free Tour Center. - **Running (Dec 6)**: - **Half Marathon**: Includes parts of Oharai-machi and the Mie Kotsu G Sports no Mori Ise Athletics Stadium track. The course covers the 'Noguchi Mizuki Gold Medal Road,' where Noguchi trained during high school, as well as a scenic drive on a motorway usually closed to pedestrians. - **5km**: A stimulating course with severe undulations, also utilizing the motorway. Aid stations will be set up. Baked donuts and rusks will be served to finishers depending on their event.
3. Participant Benefits Participants in all events will receive a sports towel, a 500-yen Oisesan ticket, an eco-bag, two Akafuku mochi, and a drink. The Oisesan ticket is valid only on December 5 and 6 (Reiwa 8) at designated stores in Oharai-machi, the Geku approach, and at the Ise-Shima product exhibition. Free shuttle buses to the Ise Jingu Naiku area will be available.
4. Special Awards Continuous participation awards are given to those participating for their 5th to 40th consecutive time. Awards for the oldest participant, a senior award (80+), and a long-distance traveler award are also prepared.
5. Post-Marathon Events An Ise-Shima product exhibition and sampling booths will be set up at the venue. Finishers can exchange tickets for food and drink samples (while supplies last).
6. Collaboration with Mie Matsusaka Marathon A double entry campaign will be held with the Mie Matsusaka Marathon. Participants of both events will be entered into a lottery to win luxury local products from Ise and Matsusaka.
