More than just walking: The 24th Setouchi Shimanami Kaido Three-Day March opens registration on June 1st!

Set against the backdrop of the Seto Inland Sea's archipelago and the world-class 'Shimanami Kaido' sea route, the 24th Setouchi Shimanami Kaido Three-Day March is set to take place in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. While traditionally popular among walking enthusiasts nationwide, this year's event focuses on expanding participation among teenagers, young adults, and beginners, with a significantly revamped program. New offerings include the 'Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge Crossing Course' for casual walkers, the 'Konkatsu Night Walking' event featuring views of the illuminated bridge from Kirosan Observatory Park, and a city-wide treasure hunt. These programs allow participants to 'experience' Imabari beyond just walking. For returning participants, the event introduces diverse courses themed around Imabari's five key attractions: the maritime industry, Imabari towels, Tange architecture, FC Imabari, and the Shimanami Kaido itself, under the concept of 'Experiencing the Global City of Setouchi.'
