Focaccia specialty cafe "Kyomo Kyotote Focaccia" will grand open on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10 AM, in Bentencho, Minato Ward, Osaka.

Ahead of the opening, a free tasting event for the signature product, "Spill-over Edamame Focaccia," will be held on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17.

Furthermore, a half-price pre-opening sale for all menu items will be conducted on Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19.

"Kyomo Kyotote Focaccia" is a focaccia specialty cafe with the concept of "a small piece of extraordinary entertainment for all lives."

The signature product, "Spill-over Edamame Focaccia," features an impactful visual with edamame boldly piled up as if overflowing.

The combination of chewy focaccia and savory edamame creates an addictive taste, aiming to become a new local specialty.

A story of "resurrection" overcoming numerous opening delays

However, the path to this point has not been smooth. Unexpected troubles continued during store preparations, and the initially planned opening schedule was postponed many times.

Despite facing various issues including funding, construction, and personnel, the team steadily proceeded with preparations, holding the desire to make this place "not just a store, but a memorable place for people."

Mika Matsukura, known as "Mikarin," who operates the cafe, has accumulated various life experiences and has held the desire to "create a place where anyone can belong."

Crowdfunding goal achieved in 2 days

Before the opening, a "Parent-child Wall Painting Event" was held as a community contribution project.

The event was planned with the desire to make the local parents and children feel that "they were also involved in creating this store."

Upon launching crowdfunding to raise funds for the event, the target amount of 200,000 yen was achieved in just two days. Furthermore, the second goal of 300,000 yen was also achieved four days later, gathering extensive support.

Local parents and children paint the store's walls

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the "Parent-child Wall Painting Event" was successfully held.

With drawings and colors freely created by local children, the store's walls were transformed into a unique and warm space.

Participating guardians commented:
