MediaTek Hits Record High March Revenue of NT$63.2B, Q1 Meets Expectations

MediaTek's March revenue was NT$63.219 billion, a monthly increase of 62.29% and a 12.89% increase compared to the same period last year. The cumulative revenue for the first quarter was NT$149.151 billion, a quarterly decrease of 0.69% and an annual decrease of 2.71%, achieving the original target of NT$141.2 billion to NT$150.2 billion.

MediaTek previously pointed out that with the rise in memory and overall costs, terminal demand for smartphones may be impacted, and it is expected that the smartphone business revenue in the first quarter may significantly decline. The expected growth of the smart device platform business in the first quarter is the main driving force supporting the overall Q1 performance.

Because the memory market continues to be in short supply and product prices have climbed further, the shipment volume of consumer products such as smartphones and computers may be impacted this year.
