Tien Wu stated that this year will be extremely busy for ASE, and the coming years are full of opportunities for the company. However, it will also require perseverance, endurance, and sustained combat capability. He noted there is room for an upward revision in ASE Technology Holding's capital expenditure this year, hoping that subsequent profit and stock price performance will provide a satisfactory account to everyone.
Tien Wu mentioned that ASE Semiconductor will start construction on six factories this year, setting a new record in the company's history. This is primarily to meet the demands of the artificial intelligence, semiconductor, and high-tech information industries, representing the need to overcome hardware bottlenecks amid the new AI wave, and also reflecting the hard power and strategic layout of Taiwan's supply chain globally.
Tien Wu added that ASE Semiconductor hopes to recruit 3,000 technicians this year, with plans to add another 1,000 by 2027. ASE currently has over 64,000 employees in Taiwan, of which more than 28,000 are based in Kaohsiung. The clustering effect of ASE in Kaohsiung mirrors the overall industrial clustering effect in Taiwan. (Editor: Pan Yi-ching) 1150410
