The analysis for the Top 100 Global Innovators is led by Clarivate's 'Center for IP and Innovation Research,' based on rigorous research methodologies. It uses the Derwent Strength Index and centers on global invention data covered by the Derwent World Patents Index to measure the impact, success, rarity, and investment in innovation.
This year's selected list covers 13 countries and regions, with Japan ranking first globally with 32 institutions, followed by the United States with 18, and Taiwan ranking third with 12. (Editor: Huang Kuo-lun) April 9, 2026.
