Participation in PRI 20th Anniversary Ceremony and Symposium

Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management Co., Ltd. participated in the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) 20th Anniversary Ceremony at the Tokyo Stock Exchange on May 18, 2026. President Takahiro Kobayashi rang the bell on behalf of PRI signatory asset management companies. He also spoke on the panel 'The Journey of Responsible Investment in Japan' at the accompanying symposium, which was solely sponsored by the company and drew over 250 attendees. Mr. Kobayashi emphasized that responsible investment is now mainstream, collaboration is vital for solving social issues, and the role of asset managers is to provide long-term returns.
