Cross-party Political Academy 'Reiwa Seikei Gijuku' Begins 3rd Batch Recruitment Following 10 Members Elected to House of Representatives

Next Japan Initiative (NXJI) has announced the opening of applications for the 3rd cohort of 'Reiwa Seikei Gijuku,' starting May 16, 2026. The academy is a cross-party initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of political leaders and policy entrepreneurs. In the February 2026 General Election, 10 students from the academy were elected to the House of Representatives. The program is entirely free of charge and provides unique support including subsidies for books and childcare to encourage diverse participation. Applications are accepted until June 15, 2026.
