A 3-Day Thai Chiang Mai Night Market Appears on the Rooftop of Osaka Station! 'VERY ASIA Chiang Mai' to be Held June 4-6

General Incorporated Association demoexpo is organizing and operating 'VERY ASIA Chiang Mai,' a market event to 'rediscover' Asian urban culture, to be held from Thursday, June 4, to Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the 'Kaze no Hiroba' on the 11th floor of the Osaka Station City North Gate Building. This event focuses on Chiang Mai, a cultural city in northern Thailand, and offers three days to encounter the life and creativity breathing in Asian cities through food, sales of locally sourced goods and daily necessities, movies, music, and the stories behind them. In this first installment, we focus on Chiang Mai, a cultural city in northern Thailand where time flows differently than in Bangkok. Chiang Mai is a place where diverse creativity—crafts, food, cafes, art, design, and nomad work—is rooted in daily life. Its free and relaxed creativity shares an atmosphere with Osaka, which has cultivated its own unique culture from a place that is not the capital. The venue, 'Kaze no Hiroba,' is an open urban space directly connected to Osaka Station. It is a place with the serendipity where not only those visiting as a destination but also those just passing by can encounter cultures and human activities they did not know. We are holding 'VERY ASIA Chiang Mai' at Osaka Station City as such a place of coincidence. This event is hosted by JR West SC Development Company and co-hosted by West Japan Railway Company. Furthermore, this event is also held as a program of 'Osaka Art & Design 2026,' an urban event where you can encounter art and design on the stage of Osaka city.
