In Kumejima Town, Shimajiri District, Okinawa Prefecture, the Kumejima Town Tourism Association will take the lead in implementing an island-wide 'Grand Trial Stay' event targeting travel agencies, online accommodation booking sites, media, influencers, and general SNS posters, to let everyone know the goodness of Kumejima. Kumejima is just a 30-minute flight from Naha Airport. Although it is not a very large island with an area of about 64 square kilometers, it is packed with attractions such as 'Hate no Hama', a mysterious 7km-long sandbar floating in the sea, 'Tatamiishi', a nationally designated natural monument, and 'Ief Beach', selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches. It is an island where Okinawa's wonderful nature and culture remain, perfect for a relaxing stay. The schedule for this trial stay is 2 nights and 3 days (1 night and 2 days also possible). You can stay at both resort hotels and minshuku (including whole-house rentals and old folk houses) on the island.
